Description
During our journey from Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon, you will venture into the western section of the world's most renowned gorge. Delve into the rich heritage of the Hualapai tribe, Native Americans with a fascinating legacy. Along the route, you will also have the opportunity to behold the breathtaking sights of Lake Mead and the majestic Colorado River. You will be picked up at your hotel to kick off your excursion to the West side of the Grand Canyon. Along the journey, your guide will provide insights into the construction of the Hoover Dam and share interesting facts about the Mojave Desert. We'll make a brief 20-minute pit stop at a service station for breakfast and coffee. The entire stretch of the Grand Canyon lies within the state of Arizona, and we are about 180 kilometers away from the West side of the canyon when departing from Las Vegas. En route, you'll have the opportunity to traverse Dolan Spring, a charming town in the American West, and pass through the Joshua Tree Forest. This forest is a unique blend of tree-like trunks and cactus, a characteristic feature of the Mojave Desert landscape. Upon reaching the Grand Canyon, the ancestral home of the Hualapai Nation, you will visit two magnificent viewpoints at Eagle Point, one of which features the famous Skywalk. Subsequently, we'll head to the reserve's finest viewpoint, Guano Point. Guano Point offers a stunning panoramic view with an almost 360-degree angle. Inside the canyon, you'll find caves where bats once left their guano, which was extracted and sold as fertilizer by the GUANO MINING company. Following our park exploration, we'll relish a delightful lunch at one of the reserve's restaurants before making our way back to your Las Vegas hotel. The excursion is anticipated to conclude at around 4:30 or 5:00 p.m.Includes
