  CCAR Recovery Coaching in Justice Settings  Embark/PCA is proud to offer CCAR's Recovery Coaching in Justice Settings February 27-28 from 9am-1 pm MST. CCAR is excited to share this training designed for Recovery Coaches working in Justice Settings. When given the opportunity to work in our own Department of Correction setting here in CT, we eagerly jumped at the chance. People who have faced jail time, or incarceration, or any involvement within these settings have multiple barriers to overcome, so why not provide recovery coaches who can assist in navigating those barriers while providing support in their recovery journey, There is no better setting to serve as recovery coaches. Many of our coaches know these systems well. The best resources for navigating these systems are people who have used them. This is where our lived experiences will serve us, two-fold. Not only do we get to share what we know, but we also get to share who we are, in Recovery. Our goal is to prepare you for working within any of these settings.Participants who complete this training will:  Understand the different justice settings where recovery coaches can serve  Learn about the barriers and resources that people involved in these settings can face  Explore the ethical considerations of serving in these systems  Explore how culture and stigma can affect people involved within this system and people affected by incarceration  Know how to serve in the capacity of your expertise by staying in your lane  Demonstrate how to utilize the skills of a recovery coach to support those within justice settings. All online courses require prework to be completed and turned in before certificates can be issued.    EMBARK REFUND POLICY Embark relies on accurate attendance counts to make important arrangements for our Training Programs. If an attendee needs to withdraw from a training program, they must inform us in writing via email. Refunds will be available for cancellations within one week (7 days) of the training program. No exceptions. Please take this into account when you sign up for a training program. If you have canceled ahead of that time frame, but have received training materials, your refund will be less than the amount of materials. We cannot refund payments made by debit cards regardless of when you cancel your training. We can only offer a credit towards a future offering. You may request to be added to another training date instead of canceling. Please contact admin@embarkpca.net for any questions regarding a refund or a change in training date. Cancellations by Embark Embark reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any training program for any reason, including canceling a training program that does not meet minimum registration requirements or canceling a training program due to inclement weather. If Embark cancels the training program, paid registrants will be given full refunds. Rescheduled training program information will be sent out to all participants. If you have registered for an Embark Training Program in person and traveling may be hazardous on the day of the training program, please use your own judgment when deciding to attend. Those who cannot attend a training program because of inclement weather should contact the Embark office and refund decisions will be made on an individual basis.
